🗣 What are Pattern Groups?

We believe God is on a mission to make all things new and he has asked us to join in – to be his apprentices who are learning the way of Jesus.

"And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:5

A Pattern group is made up of three or four people; the goal is to become friends who help each other to grow as apprentices of Jesus: learning to be with him, become like him and do the things he did. All this is done in the power of the Holy Spirit, who is the transformative presence of Jesus in us.

Pattern is a tool to equip us to do just that: to curate simple patterns of living each day that help us to be with Jesus, become like him and do the things he did.

These spirit-filled patterns are the everyday architecture of renewal; simple rhythms of grace which shape us in order that we might shape the world around us.

Pattern helps us to reflect on our own stories and reminds us that they are drawn up into a larger story by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. It is a story that is travelling towards a beautiful end, which gives us vision and purpose for our lives today.

Each pattern group will set its’ own agenda; typically groups will meet in person once a month but will keep in touch regularly in-between. Groups will decide what is relevant for them in this current stage of their discipleship. Pattern groups are encouraged to explore the spiritual practices such as those laid out below.
